The Frost King Automatic Electric Heat Cable Kits is 6 ft. long, 120V x 7 Watts/ft. This energy-saving electric water pipe heat cable helps protect your cold-water and hot-water pipes from freezing. The heat cable has a grounded safety plug and a built in thermostat. The thermostatically controlled cable will cycle on and off as needed for the ambient temperature. for indoor use only, use on metal or plastic PVC pipes.

I had a frozen water line for the first time in 20 years, i installed this heat tape and about an hour later my wat water was running fine. I was lucky enough that the pipe didn't break.
