Made of heavy duty material but it has a harsh rubber smell the goats didn't like. After multiple washings and air exposure the smell has faded a little.

I use this feeder as a water bowl for my dogs. This thing stands up to several years of use and abuse by my dogs and weed eater. Highly recommend to anyone for almost any use.
