These chairs were fairly easy to assemble. They are the perfect height for our outside bar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is a bit more difficult than most to write due to a major inconsistency that, unless you are able to figure it out, you will not be able to assemble the chairs correctly. There are 2 chairs in this set and I have to say that the directions and order of the steps are great- provided you don’t run into the inconsistency. It only took 45 minutes to assemble the first chair. If you follow the directions and the steps in order, they go together pretty easily. An Allen wrench and vacuum sealed bolts are included. The second chair, unfortunately, had an inconsistency, which I will try to describe as accurately as possible. Attached underneath the (already factory assembled) seat of the chair is a metal frame that has 2 uneven, curved metal bars that extend side to side under the seat and are connected to an outer frame that extends front to back to hold the material in place and support the seat. The curved bars connect to the part of the chair that allows it to rotate and are the point at which you attach the top assembly to the bottom assembly. This seat frame is the piece that stretches the seat material and keeps it in place. On chair #2, this frame was put in backwards, causing the chair to be tilted forward (due to the 2 bars not being equal in “depth”) at a highly exaggerated angle, making it impossible to sit on without sliding off. There is nothing in the directions that addresses the uneven bars so we ended up disassembling chair #1 to see if we did anything wrong. That is when my husband, when comparing the 2 chair seats side by side, saw that the seat frame (once again, that part is factory assembled) was reversed with the wrong bar facing forward. It is difficult to see because you have to look at the seat upside down both flat and from the side to see the difference in height and the difference in the shape of the bends of the 2 bars. We had to disassemble the factory seat assembly on chair #2. Because of the high tension involved in keeping the seat material stretched with proper tension, both removing and reassembling the seat frame turned into a 2-hour ordeal with both of us prying and stretching to reverse the piece and working to get the bolt holes realigned. We were finally able to correct the inconsistency and assemble both chairs. These are nice chairs otherwise. The color is an orangy-red color that blends nicely outside. They are bar height, so fairly high - and swivel. The swivel is not the type that can spin around easily with just a push, it just turns 360 degrees to the position you choose. The metal is a good, heavy duty quality with a good finish ( it held up fairly well to all the prying we had to do to fix it). They are comfortable for such a high chair and have a foot bar that extends around the base to keep legs comfortable and not over extended. I am 5’8 and ok with the height but someone shorter may have an issue with the height of the chairs. The seat width is ok. The sling material is great in that it dries so quickly after rain. The 2 chairs come in a large flat box. Flat parts of the chair- back and seat- are pre assembled. All other parts need assembly. Directions are clear and accurate. I would recommend these chairs but only if you don’t get one with the inconsistency. Were it not for my husband catching it and having the tools to fix it, we would not have been able to correct it. Without the inconsistency, I would have given more stars.

They were very easy to put together. They dry quickly when it rains! If you’re looking for bar height stools, these are for you.
