Q: has any one used this successfully? My tank developed a leak at manufacturing seam about 14 months after buying. I'm going to try to contact Fimco and ask for either replacement tank or free patch.

It uses a 3” x 6” chemical-resistant patch that can be cut to size, and it cures in just 10–20 minutes when exposed to direct sunlight or an UV flashlight (any unused portion can be resealed in its pouch for future use). Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Because tank patches rely on full surface contact and equal pressure to create a proper seal, they perform best on flat, smooth areas of the tank.
Applying patches over steep curves, molded seams, or textured ridges can prevent the adhesive from bonding completely. If you are dealing with a crack near a contoured edge or seam, plastic welding or tank replacement may be required for a long-term fix.
