Very well made. It was easy to put together and works great!

I would have rated the Field & Stream 12V feeder a “5” if not for these issues: 1) A hole should have already been drilled into the battery / timer compartment to run the cable for a solar panel and a rounded mounting bracket for the solar panel should be available to match the curvature of the barrel. 2) Top of the Barrel is held in place is held in place by two good stainless steel springs, however it causes the two edges of the top that aren’t held down to flare up and possibly take on water. The top is very thin steel, and should be reinforced, or made with heavier material. I put self adhesive window stripping all the way around the top of the barrel to keep water out. 3) The 3 screws that hold the motor in place in the funnel are too short to use the regular stainless steel washer & lock washer. And there is open air space between the motor and funnel. Customer service told me this was normal and not an issue, but I sealed the open space with silicone sealant. Other than that, mines been in the woods for a little over a week and we’ll see how well it holds up. I’ll say this, the stainless steel spinner plate is a unique design and throws corn farther than any feeder I’ve ever seen.

Best feeder ever made hands down. No varmits whatsoever eating the goodies around the spinner. Job well done and probably purchased another one.

All steel construction varmint cage and easy to program timer makes this a perfect setup. The instruction manual was clear and concise. There are cheaper plastic feeders available but squirrels can chew through the bin in short order. The quality of this feeder makes it worth the few extra dollars.
