- A: Avoid getting solution into the animal's eyes. To protect horses from Horn Flies, House Flies, Gnats and Mosquitoes apply at a 1 to 7 dilution. Each pint of concentrate makes a gallon of finished spray. Repeat application every 3 or 4 days but not more than one treatment a day.5 years agoHelpful?

I wondered why this wasn't working. It only has pyrethrin, which degrades in sunlight. You need a spray combo with permethrin. Also, the label says 7:1 dilution but did not explain that for HORSE FLIES you need a 4:1 dilution.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Been using this concentrate for 15+ years. 5:1 ratio water to concentrate works great for horse flies, deer flies, mosquitos and ticks.

Absolutely does not work.

Absolutely does not work. I tried mutiple times and immediately after applying the flies literally swarmed my horse. To do a final test, I applied it and then after he was swarmed, I applied a different fly spray and all the flies disappeared.
No, I do not recommend this product.
