I purchased this propane torch from Tractor Supply about a year ago. It was brand new and used for the first time during a winter storm to thaw a few frozen items around our barn.
After only a few minutes of use, the torch ignited between the handle and the torch head, creating an uncontrolled flame. The unit became too hot to handle, and I was too startled and concerned for my safety to shut it off properly. To prevent further danger, I had to throw it across the yard and wait for it to burn out.
This was extremely dangerous and could have resulted in serious injury or worse. I’m fortunate no one was hurt. I strongly recommend using extreme caution with this product and would encourage the manufacturer and retailer to review this issue for safety.
No, I do not recommend this product.
