For those who need to supply a high volume of water over a large area such as a farm, construction site or stretch of landscape, Element's Contractor/FARM 75ft water hose with 3/4-in. inside diameter has several features that make it the ideal contractor farm hose for both construction and agricultural needs. This contractor hose features an excellent 400+ PSI burst strength, powerful enough to handle the high water pressure necessary for extreme work conditions. To prevent this high-volume water hose from bursting, heavyweight reinforcement was added at key areas for maximum durability. The hose's octagonal shape makes it highly kink-resistant, and patented Hose Armour at the female coupling helps to prevent kinking at the water source. The red color of this industrial water hose stands out at the worksite, helping to reduce the chances of it being tripped or run over. To make this heavy-duty contractor farm garden hose even more resilient, it features extra-large aluminum couplings that are damage-resistant if they're run over by heavy equipment, as well as an oversized female coupling that connects to the water source without a wrench or other tools. The limited lifetime warranty ensures that this heavy-duty contractor-grade water hose is a good investment, serving as a reliable tool on the job site for many years.

Q: Does this hose freeze in the winter

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Yes, the Element 3/4 in. x 75 ft. Contractor FARM Heavy-Duty Water Hose can freeze if left connected and outside in the winter. When the temperature drops below 32°F, water inside a hose can rapidly freeze. If the hose is left connected, the water will expand and split the hose, damaging the faucet's pipework.

Works good but, was shorted!

I bought two of these hoses a 50 foot and a 100 foot.on Sunday the 11th of June. I used both hoses this week. The 50 foot hose looked short next to my house. I measured both hoses and found the 50 foot hose to be 42 feet long! The 100 foot measured 100 feet. Save your receipts and measure what you get! I got shorted!

Aluminum fittings corrode to brass

The house quality itself is ok and has held up reasonably well. The problem with these and most newer Swan brand hoses is they switched to cheaper aluminum fittings that have a fake, anodized brass color finish. When you attached them to a real brass hose bib/spigot/faucet, the dissimilar metal of the aluminum fittings cause galvanic corrosion over time. If you tend to leave your hose always connected, eventually when you go to take it off it will be seized to the hose bib. You can sort-of work around this by using a Teflon tape or an anti-seize compound on the fittings or disconnect the hose after every use. For me, I found out too late after leaving two of these hoses connected for an extended period of time. I had to use channel lock pliers to try to get them off, but the corrosion was so bad they wouldn't budge and I ended up twisting and breaking the hose bibs off.
