After trying several types of bedding for my chicken coop, Eaton Pet and Pasture hemp bedding has become my clear favorite. The difference was obvious right away — it’s extremely absorbent, controls odors impressively well, and produces far less dust than pine shavings. My coop stays dry and fresh much longer, which means a healthier environment for my flock and far easier cleanouts for me.
Yes, it’s more expensive than traditional bedding, but the improved air quality, reduced moisture, and minimal dust are absolutely worth the investment. If you want to give your chickens a cleaner, healthier living space and don’t mind paying a little more for a premium product, Eaton Pet’s hemp bedding is an excellent choice. Love the bedding but these were way too small for my chicken run using the deep layer method. I had to buy four additional 33lb. bales to have just enough. I'll probably need more.
