Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough Little Tiller Bought this today and assembled in a few minutes (good instructions and very simple). It fired up on the first try. It took about 5 minutes to adjust the wheels and stake to the appropriate settings, and less than 25 minutes to till a 600 square foot garden plot. To be fair the garden had been tilled a few months ago with a 7’ pto driven unit, but weeds and grass had overtaken a lot of it. For its size this tiller did very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Something wrong with the motor right out of the box. Wont stay running. Set everything up correctly and used the right gas/oil ratio. Have used less than 3 hrs. Will be returning to the store and calling your company .

is this a four cycle engine?

Asked by: fraer
This is a 2 Cycle gas engine, if you are looking for a similar model you would be looking for the MC440 our part number is 12802 and this is a four cycle. Thank you!

describe edger attchment

Asked by: blondie2
The Dethatcher Kit is very effective for lifting away the excessive matted layers of thatch that can prevent moisture, oxygen and nutrients from penetrating the soil and can harbor disease and insects. Use in Spring, Summer, and Fall to bring life and color back to your lawn. This is an attachment for the MC43, the Dethatcher Assembly replaces the tines on the tine assembly.

Will this work to break up ground? I don't need a huge area, but it's an area I just don't have the energy or strength to do by hand.

Asked by: bbgail
The MC43 isn't designed to break ground, its meant to cultivate soil is already broken. It may work to break some softer soil, but again that is not it's intended purpose. You would be looking for a tiller.

Brand new machine...read all directions. The problem is the pull cord, which does not pull like a lawnmower. The cord 'chunks' out 3 inches at a time. Nothing I do will make the cord pull out in a smooth, swift action. I managed to get it going once.Help.

Does the tiller run at one speed or can it be adjusted.

Asked by: Dave21
Hi, this cultivator does not have a speed regulator as it is not self propelled. The throttle regulates how fast the tines spine, which does have some play in it to regulate the speed of the tines. The speed of the cultivator itself is going to be determined by how fast you are pushing the unit. I hope this helps. Thanks!
