The drill bits are excellent for do-it-yourself use in most ferrous and nonferrous metals, plastic, and wood. Not recommended for use on hard metals such as stainless steel. For a sure grip, all drill bit sizes 3/16 in (4.76 mm) in diameter and larger have three flats on the bit's shank. The 135° split-point tip on all bits 1/8 in (3.17 mm) in diameter and larger eliminates the need for a center punch and keeps the drill from "walking" on hard surfaces. Screwdriver bits are manufactured in S2 steel and hardened to exacting specifications so they will not bend or lose their shape. Their head profile is carefully controlled for a secure fit for outstanding driving performance.
