The tool is exactly what I need. It took awhile to get it here but once I contacted Tractor Supply it got here quickly.

When I first started using these I was so excited about them. I had previously been using an old rusted pair of hog ringer pliers that I found in my basement, and prior to that I had the ones that were sent to me by a company I purchased some of my fencing through, those were a nightmare and caused a significant amount of pain in my hands after only a short time. I did not know that for $40 I could buy a new pair that would be a breeze to use and cut the amount of time it takes to repair fencing down to a fraction of what it was taking previously. I would have given 5 stars for sure, however, after a couple weeks I have some issues with this product that I think, if addressed, could make them a 5 star product. They are super awkward to use unless you are only using them for straight forward clamping of two wires... its kind of hard to explain but the fact that the clamps come out the way they do is a poor design and can cause issues depending on what your project is. The other issues is how many rings are wasted due to the design of the pliers, but that is an issue with all. hog ringerers I have used. So they are extremely easy to use, I love that it does not hurt my hands at all! And other than that they have the same issues as other ones I have used. I think they are a solid 4 stars and would buy again.

Dewalt made a horrible tool. They feel like they're bending and breaking in your hands. It frequently fails to eject the next ring, and it doesn't easily fit properly into the fencing spaces. We bought a pneumatic one under a different brand and it made things super easy.

Works fine for a one time job…rings get stuck frequently. Loading is not that easy. I needed it for one job of closing off a chicken run from varmints….made it thru the job but not something to use every day IMO
