Q: Your website needs to be updated. 2 questions were answered saying fan has a port for an extension cord. Unless you have the old model, DCE511, it does not. Website says its a DCE512B (no port) But links to DCE511 (port) manual.

We were getting this information from the user manual attached to this page which seems to be for the DCE511 model. - A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "It depends on the amp hour rating of the battery being used. The DeWalt DCE512B 20V MAX* Cordless Jobsite Fan can run for up to seven hours at maximum speed with a 4.0 Ah DeWalt 20V MAX* battery. So, the larger the amp hour rating, the more runtime. It can be as high as 5 ½ hours on full speed with a 5 Ah battery. A good example is - think of two identical trucks, one has a 20-gallon gas tank and the other has a 50-gallon tank. The 50 gallon will go longer between fill-ups; same with the larger amp hour batteries before recharging."a year agoHelpful?

Tough on battery life

Great fan however it will completely destroy batteries as it does not shut off once battery drains out. This is not recommended for lithium batteries.

Absolutely awesome fan. Light and portable, so quiet under half-speed that you’ll forget it’s on if you aren’t directly in front of it. Moves a lot of air at max and still very quiet. Best little fan I’ve bought
