The DWHT20542 Multi-Purpose Saw can assist with a variety of applications. The saw works with most reciprocating saw and hacksaw blades. Versatile with blade selection - either 10 or 12 inch hacksaw blades or equivalent reciprocating saw blades as well. Blade change is simple and quick with one tension nut holding the blade in place. Saw ships with 2 blades. Ergonomic, bi material handle for comfort and control when cutting.

Don’t waste your money. The blades don’t stay in

I just got this hoping it would be easier for me as I’m not comfortable yet with electric saws because I’m am a woman who’s just now trying to learn how to use them. However this is absolutely ridiculous. The bases just come right out and they are useless. I’m good with hand tools and really needed a good hand saw and now I have to find something else and spend more money I don’t really have but here we are. I’m seeing that this is a common problem for almost everyone and I don’t know why they would still be selling this without making an updated version of this. Seriously though Why?! It already takes me longer than most but now I’m just getting more frustrated how much time I have spent trying to keep giving it a shot,thinking I was just doing something wrong. I’m not.

There is no possible way to get the 24t saw back to where it can secure itself. Terrible design flaw.

Unfortunately, the reviews are correct. the blade wont stay in place. It works great and stores great, but the blade will dislodge worh use.
