Q: How do I reliably know the grease carterige is empty? I have felt it was empty only to find there is more grease. What determines if itis empty? It doesn't feel as though its pumping. It seems to mildly surge. Result is not filling grease component.

BUY IT! Take it from a guy with arthritis in his hands and fingers, this Dewalt grease gun is a life saver out on my farm. So easy to change grease cartridges and reprime. Buy the aftermarket Lock and Lube coupler for the end of the hose and man you will have a nice setup for sure!

i own one of these and for general use or light duty they work ok but for heavy pressure applications like track adjusters and such on heavy equipment not so much, i also have a Milwaukee that works great in same application.
No, I do not recommend this product.
