Bags need re-designing!

These feed bags are disproportioned. The bucket of the bag is too long (even for my very large-headed TWH), the opening is too small--had he been able to stick his muzzle all the way into the bag, it would have gone up to his eyes, but the opening didn't allow him to get deep enough into the bag to get the feed, and the straps was so long I had to punch 4 holes in it to get it over his (very large) head! I can't image any horse who would have the anatomy to fit in one of these bags! Additionally, the bottom is made out of a canvas material and the feed instantly gets wet from the horse's saliva causing it to stick to the fabric. All in all, these bags need to be re-designed!

The dimensions of these bags is off in every respect. I ordered the horse size and I could see when the bags arrived that the strap was going to be way too long, even on the last hole. I used my hole punch to make the strap shorter and proceeded to use it on my very large Tennessee Walker. The bag itself is so long, he couldn't get his nose down in it and the circumference of the opening is not wide enough causing it to stop just a couple inches under his eyes! I had to hold the bottom of the feedbag up so he could eat. IF the circumference were wider, he might have been able to put his head in far enough to reach the feed, but the bag would have been over his eyes! Additionally, I was expecting a sturdy leather bottom to the feedbag and it really only cloth with a plastic strip reinforcement in the middle. The cloth immediately became wet when my horse ate, and the grain stuck to the bag. Definitely not usable. If the manufacturer were to reduce the length of the strap, the bag itself, widen the opening, and put leather on the bottom of the bag, it might be a good product.

I have fed using feed bags for the past year to keep horses from playing musical buckets. We’ve purchased multiple brands or feed bags made of mesh and the snaps break, they get holes, bottoms ripped out from being stepped on. These bags are awesome. Love the leather straps and brass buckles. Easy to adjust. No supplements falling through. They are strong and work great!!!!
