Like a hitch pin and clip, a hitch lock is designed to insert into the fastener hole in the side of a receiver tube in order to hold a ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory in place. This CURT hitch lock features a right-angle design for easy access to the key hole, and it comes with a 1/2" diameter pin with a 5/8" diameter adapter sleeve. This allows it to be used on either a 1-1/4" or 2" receiver tube.
