I've used a CMMG conversion kit/BCG for many years. Perfect fit and function with a 5.56 chambered AR-15. Shooting CCI 36gr Mini-Mags, it's as accurate as when firing M193 rounds. Saved a bunch of money too. I broke 1 firing pin after about 5000 rounds, which was simple, and inexpensive to fix. Loved mine so much, I wound up building a dedicated 22Lr upper using the kit BCG, and a dedicated Barrel Collar. One suggestion though, these kits are susceptible to Brass-Over-Bolt malfunctions due to the design of the standard AR-15 Charging Handle. I recommend purchasing a CMMG Charging Handle Insert, or a dedicated 22lr Charging Handle.
