The Chapin HydroFeed fertilizer injector is a patent-pending design filled with features for use with sprinklers and direct hose spray applications. Great way to conserve water and still have a lush, green, well-fed landscape or garden. Different than a Hose-end Sprayer. HydroFeed works differently than a standard hose-end sprayer. A standard hose-end sprayer pulls the chemical up and out, emptying the tank. HydroFeed adds water back into the tank as your chemical is being pulled out. Because your chemical has a higher density than water, it sits on the bottom of the tank. Our outlet tube reaches the bottom of the tank so when clean water is being added to the tank, it stays on top of your chemical mix. You don't have to worry about your chemical being diluted as it's being fed through the outlet tube. This is why the tank turns clear after your chemical runs out.

    Lawn treatment simplified

In the ten years I worked lawn care, Ive only seen this tied into one sprinkler system. Our area has a lot of iron in the well water and you see iron stains on plenty of houses and especially fences so some folks will tie in tanks of iron remover to remove the iron before being sprayed on the lawns. This works similarly. You can use this to add any liquid or water soluble solid to it to treat your lawn or garden quickly and easily. Ive used it to treat my lawn fungus, weed control, and general fertilization with great results. I drag a hose to water but can be used with an in-ground system just as easily. To ensure an even coverage, I would recommend watering each area for 10 minutes per zone, then cycle again for 20 minutes to get a full 30 minutes (or 1" of water per zone). The only real drawback with this is that you cant adjust the rate of application (or throughput) of the contents, so you have to play with it and adjust the time to suit your needs. I definitely give this 5 stars!
