A life saver, luggage rack, or just a chair…

This is my 2nd chair/ladder. I bought my first one years ago so I can reach the top shelves in my kitchen. I use it all the time.
This one is for my guests. Settling my aunt into the guest room with her suitcase in our lower level I realized she would never be able to get out of the egress window without a ladder. I am sure some guests will use this to put their shoes on, while others will put luggage on it, but I know it is there and could be a life saver to get guests out safely in case of an emergency.

Nice dense hardwood. Part way through the assembly instructions suggest self tapping wood screws don’t require drilling tap holes. I found the wood way to hard. After starting screws for location, I removed the seat and drilled pilot holes (mark drill depth do avoid drilling through seat). Very solid chair!
