not quality anymore

been buying Carhartt jeans since I was a teenager, they used to be the best work jeans available. could easily make a few pairs last a couple of years but not anymore. Have bought 6 pair in the last 2 months, not a single pair has lasted a day. It's time for a permanent change.

Over it.

It seems Carhartt has stopped making pants for working men and started leaning towards "designer jeans" that are more form than function. The old school logger jeans were the epitome of work pants. Loose fit, high rise, heavy weight fabric and suspender buttons. First the buttons went. Next the fabric became lighter and the rise became lower to the point where the current pants labeled "logger jeans" bare little resemblance to their predecessor. I witnessed a similar metamorphosis with Levi's when they began making pants more suited to teenage girls than to working men. I assume most of these changes are cost driven in an attempt to keep the price competitive but what "corporation-think" people forget is that people are willing to pay a bit more for quality. That's why some people drive Mercedes while others drive a Toyota Camary.

Carhartt used to be for workers

I'm really disappointed in this Company, i don't know if they sold out or if ownership changed, but all the sizing of shirts, jeans, pants is all different and low quality. The last time I bought these jeans they lasted for about 3-4 years with heavy duty. Now they don't even fit properly and the material is this thin composite material denim. Carhartt sold out and now is nothing more than a Hipster brand just like all of the others, nothing is Original and durable anymore.
