The CargoSmart Heavy Duty Bolt-On Recessed Mount D-Ring with Back Plate is a heavy duty anchor point used to create an additional tie down point when securing cargo to your trailer. The recessed D-ring easily mounts to your truck or trailer via 3/8 in. mounting holes and lays flush to the mounted floor or wall of your vehicle. This design protects the D-ring from damage, while also making it easier to maneuver around when loading cargo. The D-Ring allows you to customize your trailer configuration with load specific trailer tie down anchors and is designed to help secure heavy duty cargo. You would think that when packed for shipping the

I purchased four of these D ring plates and one came with the bolts and nuts missing. Had to use what I had around the barn to mount the plates. Had to have an extra person to hold a wrench on the bolt while tightening the nuts.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Worked as advertised. My side by side stayed on the trailer. I used 8 of them because I use tire bonnets to hold the load on the utility trailer. My trailer has 2x6 wood planks running the direction of the trailer and since I had to remove a lot of wood to recess the rings I added a 2x6 under each row of D-rings going the other direction and attached with deck screws from the bottom. The D-rings are through bolted through both layers of wood so I had to get longer carriage bolts.
