Camco Sewer Waste Valve with Plastic Handle, 3 in., E/F

If you either bent or broke your black tank valve like I did, or your gate won't open, this is what you need. Our ABS connections were still fine, and our LaSalle / Bristol gate valve handle broke off when I was making a tignt turn on a country road and my wheels dropped into a ditch. here's the thing.. the GATE Valves are all the same size, so if the plastic ABS flanges are okay and all you need to replace is the valve, buy this! 4 bolts at the corners and it comes out (the ABS will open enough to allow it out) the challenge is getting the new gate valve and the included gaskets back in. here's the trick. use the bolts and nuts backwards to SPREAD the flanges and hold them far enough apart to get the gate valve in at a 45 degree angle to the flanges, and slowly allow the bolt to back off the spread on the flanges to close the gap as you close it, rotate the gate valve around the 3" axis to ensure the circular seals are good. when all tension is out, remove nuts and bolt, rotate the flanges to meet, and bolt them tight together. Then wash your hands and celebrate with the beverage of your choice.

Purchased the 3 in. Camco Sewer Valve to install on a grain silo. This is a well built valve. Actually did not use it, because I changed to a 4 in. pipe.
