Q: Is this plug a bonded plug?
3 years ago1 Answer
- A: Hi camping buddy, Here is the information we received from our vendor- Grounding involves establishing a physical wiring path that gives electricity a way to get to earth if there is a fault in the system. Bonding works in tandem with grounding by connecting metallic objects that may be exposed to electrical faults to the grounding neutral. Bonding also supplies a route for static electric and induced voltages to safely drain. Common places you see bonding is when metallic connectors are used, raceways, metallic boxes and enclosures, gas and water pipes, machinery equipment and exposed electronics.3 years agoHelpful?
