Q: Is this plug a bonded plug?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi camping buddy, Here is the information we received from our vendor- Grounding involves establishing a physical wiring path that gives electricity a way to get to earth if there is a fault in the system. Bonding works in tandem with grounding by connecting metallic objects that may be exposed to electrical faults to the grounding neutral. Bonding also supplies a route for static electric and induced voltages to safely drain. Common places you see bonding is when metallic connectors are used, raceways, metallic boxes and enclosures, gas and water pipes, machinery equipment and exposed electronics.

Q: What is the max wattage for this? My generator Powermate 5000 has the 30 Amp 4 prong 120/240 outlet and I need to power my 110/125 volt at the camper. I just needed to be sure this is the correct one for that and do not want to exceed the wattage if so.
