The durable poly hopper of this ATV fertilizer spreader holds up to 100 lb. of free-flowing material that can be spread up to 30 ft. Use the ATV spreader to fertilize lawns, plant seeds, or feed livestock in the warm months, then load it with salt or ice melt to take care of driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks in the winter. Each ATV all-purpose spreader has an enclosed 12V motor mounted inside of the hopper and a manual feed gate regulator, so you control how much material is used. The power switch and all controls are easily accessible from the seat of your ATV, letting you do the job from start to finish without getting off your vehicle. The included rain cover fits over the hopper and protects material from the elements. Works... but may not for your application

I can only give it a 4 star review. I purchased it to use for spreading salt on my commercial parking lot. I purchase the blue/purple treated salt. Unfortunately the "holes" in the spreader are small. With treated salt it does not fall through the holes to the spreader. I think this would work fantastic with the store bought sidewalk salt that is a smaller grain. It is universal so I had to modify the mount for my 4 wheeler since it has a plastic rack system and not the tubular style baskets or bracing.
