Burris 6-24x 56mm Fullfield Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Ballistic E3 Reticle, Matte Black

Accurate, audible clicks, repeatable. I have this scope on my 300 Win, the two pair nicely.

My experience with the optic has been pleasant. I received the optic from Burris for product testing for free but that doesn’t skew my opinion. I think the glass clarity is very comparable to its competitors from brands like Vortex. I haven’t been able to hunt with this optic due to seasons not starting for gun hunting in my state. I have had close to two hundred rounds through this glass at varying yardages but have this on a Remington 700 in 308 zeroed at 200. I’m impressed at how clear the glass is at the price point. I know the optic claims a shockproof however I couldn’t bring myself to dropping it or hitting it on purpose, the closes thing to impact it received was falling from my bench rest down to the wooden table about 6 inches in total for a fall. It retained zero but I was more careful with it after that. Overall it was one of the easiest scopes I’ve set up and zeroed, I’ve had a couple cheaper scopes where I had to max out the windage to get to a an acceptable zero. This scope I had very minimal adjustments to obtain zero and found it very user friendly.

I put the Burris Fullfield 6–24x50 on my .223 predator rig and ran it through a mock NRL Hunter-style range day with the boys plus other dynamic range days and came away impressed. The 6–24× magnification and 50mm objective gave me a great balance of field of view at the low end and usable reach when dialing for longer shots. The glass produced clear, contrasty images and made target identification and quick follow-ups easy. The Ballistic E3 reticle was easy to learn and easy to use without too much going on in your field of view. Adjusting for different ranges was quick and repeatable. The turret clicks are tactile and positive, and the numbers and hash marks are big enough to read at a glance while keeping your head in the shooting position which I loved. What I really liked about this scope was the Burris advanced exposed knob setup. The elevation and windage knobs are large, with solid tactile clicks and very readable markings. It made my dialing fast and confident especially under the clock. The zero-stop on the elevation turret is a genuine bonus for dynamic stages where you are needing to change shooting positions and engage targets at various ranges. I could shoot one target, get up, and while on the move adjust my knob back to zero without looking down, preparing myself to make another range adjustment.
 The scope’s weight and overall dimensions kept my .223 setup balanced and not front-heavy. Click value is 1/4 MOA, and the scope offers plenty of elevation travel for long-range tweaks. Here are some of my pro’s: - Clear, high-contrast optics across the zoom range. Great for both low-light and daylight target work. - Ballistic E3 reticle that’s quick to use for in a pinch holdovers. - Excellent, tactile exposed knobs with easy to read markings and a practical zero-stop. And some con’s: - Not first focal plane. - As far as I know, it is only offered in MOA with no MILS options. If you want a nice balance of ease of use and adjustability, this is the optic for you. It delivered fast target acquisition, repeatable adjustments, and an overall user experience that made dialing and holding feel effortless. To start I would like to thank Burris Optics for sending me this awesome scope to test out for free. I have done my best to give this scope the fairest review possible while still being completely up front and honest. This was such a fun and informative experience for me. I received this scope a few weeks ago and used it on three separate occasions at the range. I spent about 8hrs at the range going through various testing applications and rigors. I will admit I was surprised and thrilled to see how well it performed in the time I spent with it at the range. I switched between 2 different rifles in 2 different calibers to test just how versatile this optic was, and I was not disappointed. The scope was very easy to move from rifle to rifle and it adjusted well to both. It is a durable optic with fantastic light transmission, performing well in wind, heat, and dealing with visual distortion. It was tested from as close as 45 yards all the way to 400 yards. I took my time sighting it in, which was very easy. I appreciated the clear reticle, tic marks, bright visuals. This Fullfield was very clear and quick to adjust with very easy to use windage/elevation turrets. The scope despite its size is not overly heavy and is well balanced. I love it & I am beyond excited I get to keep it. On its first test was just a break in to see how the scope handled a basic 100yd range on a Tikka Rifle in 6.5 PRC. It was easy to sight in, the turrets made for easy zeroing, eye relief was quick to adjust and it performed very well. After some consideration the decision was made to try it out on a Custom Weatherby Vanguard in .308Win. Both worked well but the scope truly complimented the custom gun best. On my second trip to the range I decided to let a friend of mine who has experience in Burris Scopes give this baby a whirl. He was so thrilled at the thicker tic marks as he was able to see them very well. Unfortunately something he has struggled with in the past with E3/BDC optic reticles. We played around with the tic marks and adjustment more. As well as shot it at very close range (45yds), in which we were thrilled to see we had a still very clear view of the target with no optical distortion. On my third and final trip, I put the scope (and my own gun) through serious paces. The conditions that day were not optimal but I needed to know just how good this scope could handle it. Through using this optic in varying high winds, high temps due to high sun and heat distortion off the ground I was able to place multiple shots accurately at multiple yardages, hitting as far as 400yds. I was FLOORED in a good way, the Burris Fullfield 6-24x50 E3 SPA KSH-EX punched far above its weight for the price without a doubt. It's a widely usable scope for just about any shooter, hunter or competitor. During many of my hunts in the past I have had to shoot a few deer at distances exceeding 250yds. I easily think this scope would be capable of doing so. In one of my past hunts I used a Tikka .308win equipped with an older model Burris Fullfield 4-16x50. In that hunt I killed my biggest Axis deer to date weighing in at just shy of 250lbs. I had never really thought of Burris Scopes as being a truly good scope til that moment. Through this whole experience I learned a lot more than I thought I would for sure. Please give Burris Optics a try if you are looking for a scope that has many applications especially if you aren't trying to break your wallet.
