Suggested Feeding Recommendations*:
*Suggested program is based on offering grass or mixed grass hays. If feeding legume hays or rich pasture, consult your Kent Nutrition Group Feed Representative or Customer Service.
Sentinel Performance LS is also recommended for horses with challenged digestive and/or metabolic systems - contact your Kent Nutrition Group Feed Representative for specific recommendations. Some good quality hay should be offered to help maintain good digestive function and prevent boredom.
DAILY GUIDE: Approximate feed weight to volume: 0.85 lb = 1 quart. It is necessary to adjust the feeding of Sentinel Performance LS to the condition of the horse. Provide salt and plenty of fresh water free choice.
COMMENTS: For additional mineral-vitamin fortification, or if Sentinel Performance LS is fed below the recommended feeding range, feed the appropriate Kent Nutrition Group Equine Supplement, depending on type of hay being fed. The suggested feeding program is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animal's requirements.

Blue Seal Sentinel Senior, 50 lb. is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Brand I love this brand of horse feed. I have a 27 year old horse and a 17 year old horse on it and have never had issues with colic. Been using Sentinel for 3 years now. It’s pressure cooked to super easy for them to digest. Before I switched to senior I was using the LS Performance bag and never had complaints with that line of Sentinel brand either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for senior horses Absolutely the best feed for senior horses, especially with hose who have missing molars. This feed is nutritious and soft because it's pressure cooked. There is no other feed that's comparable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loyal User for Aging horses This works amazing for the 2 senior paints that I feed this to. Sentinel LS is for my performance horses but the senior does wonders for aging horses. Have 2 teens on it was great results

My donkey has cushings. He is extremely thin. How much sentinel do I feed him by cup fulls. Weight might be 250 Thank you

Asked by: Zeus boy 123
Blue Seal recommends starting him out between .40-.65 lbs./100 body weight per day. So if he weighs 250 lbs., start off feeding a half a pound twice a day for a total of 1 lb. per day. After 30 days reevaluate his condition and increase if necessary. We always recommend contacting your vet for specific guidance for your pet situation.

I have a 21 year old TNW, he is on the thin side even though we feed another senior feed now and he has access to good hay 24/7. How much of this product should I be feeding him to see results? Thanks!

Asked by: Rtrose06
Your question did not state the activity level of you horse. But a horse with average activity should be fed .5 -.75 pounds of feed per 100 pounds of body weight. Example-1000# horse should be eating 5# -7.5# of Sentinel Senior/day. Remember to feed by weight not volume. Sentinel Sr is an extruded feed. It weighs .85#/quart. Most feeds weigh 1.2-1.4#/quart. Please weigh your feed to be sure you are feeding the correct amount.
