Home Fresh Guinea Pig Pellets are designed specifically to be fed to guinea pigs in accordance with the following suggested feeding program: New born guinea pigs can consume solid food almost immediately. In its native habitat, the guinea pig's diet consists of green vegetation and fruits. With Home Fresh Guinea Pig, it is not necessary to feed greens or fruit. The guinea pig eats many small meals throughout the day. Offer Home Fresh Guinea Pig Pellets in a self feeder (one they cannot sit in). Provide fresh, clean water at all times. The guinea pig is best known from a nutritional standpoint because of its requirement for dietary Vitamin C (along with man and monkey). The suggested feeding program above is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and breed may dictate changes in the animal's dietary requirements. Store in a cool dry place. This product may spoil if stored under adverse conditions. Do not feed this product if believed to be unfit for animal consumption.

We recommend in most cases, you slowly transition your animal when changing to a KENT product or even between KENT products. This allows the animal's digestive tract to properly adjust to the feed. To help with the transition, we recommend slowly mixing the new KENT product in with your current feed and then gradually increase over the course of one week to 100% of the new KENT product.
