Roller brush doesn’t spin
a month ago
The roller stops spinning every time I make contact with anything. I have cleaned all hair from it and it doesn’t matter. Upon closer inspection, the belt appears to be rubbing against the housing, creating extra friction that is cuing the motor to slip. There does not seem to be a way to ix the issue. Do NOT. It.

Disappointed - Doe NOT pick up cat hair!

I bought this because reviews indicated it was the best for pet hair. I am disappointed with its performance on my microfiber couch and cat hair. My old, tired Bissell Pet eraser does better and faster. This dustbuster, no matter how many times you go over cat hair, it still doesn't pick it all up, and on top of that it is kinda big and not ergonomic to hold, so my arm gets tired quickly. I'm disappointed.
Retur process was also a pain--had to call one 800 number, wait for a rep, thn they gave me another number to call (couldn't transfer), had to wait... Then had to wait on hold while rep got approval...then wait for an email with return label....it just took too long.

Don’t bother

As soon as you pull backwards (going forward and back while vacuuming) it causes the crevice tool to extend which disengages the motorized brush from its power source while still being attached by the retaining tabs so that it stops spinning making it completely useless.

I'd give it 5* if it lasted

Great suction, super handy, decent-to-good battery life - while it lasts. Unfortunately, the battery gives out within a year. I've gone through two of these in 21 months (and that's because we've cut back on using it by at least half the past few months). Unfortunately, based on more and more reviews I'm seeing, this is clearly a known issue. It's a bummer because it works really well.
