I have another model of this brand which I have been using for a couple of months. That one came with lifetime ai recognition. This product with the ai feature activated would be a 4 star in my opinion. As is, not including the ai but available separately, it proved disappointing. This does come with a 7 day free trial of the ai. Before I activated that, the device was taking one video and one photo of each bird. After activating the 7 day ai trial, it began taking multiple photos of each bird visit which is what I had been accustomed to with the other model. Multiple photos are much better to look through and I don't understand why it can't take more than 1 without the ai feature being active. Therefore, I would highly recommend the model that comes with lifetime ai, or purchasing that separately which will run you $70 more. The solar panel is a must. My prior one I didn't plan to use it, figured I could take it off and charge every once in a while, but the one time I had to take it down it didn't go back up for days. The solar panel keeps it juiced. Highly recommend getting and using that. I like that this model has available add ons such as extended perches with areas for other types of food. My other model does not have that capability. Overall, I do like this device, but the points about the ai subscription and its functionality without it need to be considered before going with this particular package.
