Dedicated horsemen and women pride themselves on safe, clean, well-run barns and facilities where horses and riders can thrive. However, maintaining high health and comfort standards in enclosed areas where horses are trained and stabled can prove challenging amid a host of common problemsincluding a lack of airflow. Though not apparent at first glance, it impacts all occupants with a range of problems: heat stress, fatigue, airway inflammation, lingering odors, and constant harassment from pests. Without adequate airflow, these spaces grow hot and stagnant, leaving sweaty horses to breathe in allergens from dusty hay and bedding, as well as odors and bacteria from waste. These stressful conditions sap animals' strength and vitality, impairing their motivation and performance. In non-conditioned spaces like animal housing and riding arenas, moving air with a Big Ass Fan can make occupants-whether two or four legged-feel up to 10°F cooler in the summer heat and create uniform conditions within the space, preventing "dead spots" where stale air and odors can linger. The Big Ass Fans 4900 is an impressive and economical fan package providing cooling over the same area as 70 standard ceiling fans at a fraction of the operating cost.

Is this fan too big for a room that is 22x32 with a 19 foot ceiling?

Asked by: Anonymous

Does this come with a remote? Or is just a wall control switch?

Asked by: Gabe86
Thanks for your question, Gabe86. The BAF 4900 includes a variable speed wall control and is not compatible with remote control at this time.

Do you make a higher voltage version? 220 or 480

Asked by: MVGH

I am ready to order this fan, but nervous about the reviews that say the controller is noisy. How loud is the controller? If I buy it should I put the controller on the back wall of my hangar, or on the front wall where it would be handy.

Asked by: James173
The amount of noise this unit emits, versus convenience of the location of box, does not compare. You get used to the small hum, it is insignificant to the wonderful job it does. We unplug it when its not in use, during the winter for example.
