The Beta 1370INOX stainless steel engineer's hammer is highly resistant to rust and corrosion, even in moist or harsh environments. An engineer's hammer, also known as a drilling hammer or a mini sledgehammer, is a versatile tool used for heavy hammering and demolition tasks, including driving stakes, wedges, and spikes, as well as breaking concrete, stone, and metal. Its design, featuring a relatively short handle and a heavy head, allows for controlled, powerful strikes in confined spaces. Stainless steel is a tough and durable material, capable of withstanding heavy use and impact. Beta INOX tools are constructed of magnetic stainless steel (AISI 420), expertly heat-treated to achieve industrial grade strength. Stainless steel is easy to clean and maintain, making it a good choice for applications where hygiene is important such a clean rooms and the food production. Beta INOX stainless steel tools can withstand use in critical environments where particles from corrosion are unacceptable, such as nuclear facilities, pharmaceutical production (Class C), biotech, food production, and offshore marine environments. The use of mild steel tools in these environments can lead to corrosion and rust formation, even on stainless steel fasteners. The overall length of the engineer's hammer is 240 mm (9.45 inches) with a head width of 101mm (3.98") and a head thickness of 25mm (.98").
- Balanced 17.5 oz head weight: Engineered to deliver controlled striking force, making it ideal for precision tasks that require accuracy without excessive rebound or fatigue.
- Stainless Steel Head Construction: Resists rust, corrosion, and wear, ensuring long service life even in demanding workshop or outdoor environments.
- Dual Purpose Design: The flat face provides clean, consistent strikes for driving nails or setting fasteners, while the pointed end is ideal for chipping, shaping, and breaking materials, especially stone, masonry, or metal.
- Compact & Powerful: Combines a manageable size with effective striking power, making it suitable for both delicate adjustments and heavier mechanical tasks.
- Versatile Applications: Widely used in metalworking, automotive repair, construction, and general maintenance, offering flexibility across professional and DIY projects.
