Lincoln Electric lead-free silver bearing solder is designed for metal soldering applications. It is perfect for use on metal gutters, tin work and auto care. The acid core eliminates the need for flux. Its melting temperature is 430 Degree F. Not intended for plumbing applications. Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

- A: Typically, you would not want to use solder with stainless steel. Welding would give a much stronger bond, and depending on the application, is going to be a significantly safer binding method.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: We have included the manufacturer's response below: I would not use metal work solder for Stainless steel. Welding holds stainless steel parts together best. You can silver solder stainless to itself or to brass and copper. The joint will only be as strong as the silver solder itself.7 years agoHelpful?
