These pants I love, my new favorite and go-to. I look forward to putting them on to wear for yard work or in the shop, or just to bum around. I'm outdoorsy and quite active, work hard, get dirty, really give my pants a workout--then put them through the heavy-duty wash. Some other pants can't make it one season for me, but these feel as though they will last a long long time. I am in my 60s and they might outlast me. I will update my review after a few months of wearing these. These Berne Women's Flex 180 Duck Field Pants are a replacement for Tractor Supply's Bit and Bridle work pants that I had 4 pair of, but--after 3 years of constant wear, they developed big holes at the top corner seams around the back pockets-exposing my derriere. Although I would have bought some more BnB, apparently none are available anymore. I felt left high and dry. So, I looked at other suppliers, tried a couple of brands that didn't work for me---then a TSC sale persuaded me to give these Berne 180 Duck Field Pants a try. I ordered the Tuscan color ( a pretty earth brown) in my normal size 12. I am 5'6" and 155-160 lb. They feel good to wear--substantial like they won't let me down, and I feel happy wearing them. One small exception on fit for me is that on some days I have a thicker waist than others, and at those times they feel a little tighter at the waist closure than I wish,when I am bending at the waist. This loosens during the day, but I also get around this by not buttoning the rivet, and wearing my belt, and all works fine. The zipper is heavy duty so holds fine by itself. These pants have reinforced areas in the knees and front, and at the seams, and the pocket area is more reinforced so looks like it will avoid the Bit and Bridle weakness. In addition to regular sturdy front and back pockets, they have substantial side pockets, one on the side of each leg, plenty wide enough for my phone, work gloves, etc. I like these well enough that I am on the TSC site now ordering the titanium color. As I can afford, I will get more, but do wish they had more than 2 colors available--I'd go for blue, khaki, black, or dark green. So far I have had these a week and washed and worn them on three times, and can say I enjoy putting them on. They are not baggy like the BnB had gotten and look classy. Also, I am trying to be eco-friendly and buy cotton where I can instead of synthetics; these feel as though they will be the type cotton that will just get softer and fit to the wearer over time, and a long time at that. I highly recommend these pants.

I bought a size 4 regular because I normally wear size 4 (28" waist, 35" hip), but when I tried them on, they felt several sizes too big. I had several extra inches at the waist. Maybe I got a pair that were not sized correctly because I didn't see other reviews mention this problem. I thought about getting them altered because I liked the style and feel of the pants, but I ended up returning them. If they had smaller sizes maybe I would try again.
