Q: does the top (windvane) move around according to wind direction? How is this accomplished on this unit? is the pan made of metal? if so is it painted or galvanized?

- A: Hi! The hood acts like a wind catch… This will spin the top of the feeder in to the direction the wind is blowing. The base of the unit is made of metal, which is powder coated Gray. The trough is a poly tub that sets in the top of the base. The top spins on a bearing ball that is inside the Arm support3 years agoHelpful?
