A: BKF cleans and polishes most hard, nonporous surfaces. However, never use BKF on the following: cast iron, granite, marble, wood, fabric, leather, or painted surfaces.

A: 1) Granite – we don’t recommend it on granite for the simple reason we can’t control the “how long” of contact time on the granite surface by the homeowner. There are countertop installers that know they can remove rust spots, etc. with BKF Cleanser but they limit contact time to under 15-30 seconds and quickly rinse thoroughly and buff dry with a microfiber cloth. 2) Glass-top stoves or ceramic cooktops – while we make a specific product (Cooktop Cleaner) for this application, we have received many testimonials from owners of these appliances that love the results they get with BKF Cleanser. The keys are a) use less product than you think, b) keep the solution moist & minimize contact time… about a minute or under, c) don’t scrub harshly or use a rough scrubber pad… blue “non-scratch” scrub pads are best (3M or similar) and d) rinse completely & buff out with a microfiber cloth and/or finish w/ glass cleaner & a paper towel for a clear shine.
