[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 5005 Fire Bag, mainly when I go dirt bike riding. Several weekends ago, my buddies and I went riding south of Boise. There were 8 of us and we took off for a ~40 mile ride on a Sunday afternoon. My bag is able to carry all of my gear, including helmet, chest protector, boots, pants, jersey, and hydration pack that includes a first responder kit (key to the story!). The trail network is vast, so we headed out and rode ~15 miles before we stopped for a break. We ride with all levels of riders so 15 miles takes up to 2 hours to ride. After our break we headed up a trail none of us had ridden in the past. Our fast guys took off and the slower riders were in tow. About 300 yards up the trail, one of our leaders had gone down hard, no one saw what happened. As we processed what was going on, it became abundantly clear that something major had happened, as it was obvious from our downed rider’s condition that he had at least one fractured arm, which turned out to be two, including a compound. We had a nurse riding with us who, with the use of a first responder kit, was able to triage and stabilize the rider for air transport. With all the storage available, I was able to carry the First Aid kit, GPS unit, cell phone, and other tools necessary.
