Cats love to be in and under things where they can 'hide' but still see what's going on . All 3 of my cats immediately had to claim it for themselves. After a few days, I had to buy another so there are fewer squabbles. It is sturdy, able to house my 15 pound large cat with no problems, and my 8 pound small cat is able to curl up and be comfortable. It cleans up well with either a fur remover brush or spot wipe and the plush bed on the bottom is able to be removed and cleaned. I love Armarkat items and more importantly, all the cats I have ever had do too.
