The quality of the Wexford Chelsea boot is top-notch! I had orginally purchased the Barnyard Gore style which was also of very high quality, but too clunky/heavy to wear on a trip for horseback riding and city touring. Although the Wexford is not officially rated for horseback riding, I thought it could work well as a dual purpose (city and riding) boot. I purchased a 7.5W which fits me perfectly in the Ariat Paddock style, but the Wexford in the same size runs about 1/2 size larger. Additionally, I wish that Ariat would design a Wexford rated for horseback riding. Couldn't they just tweak the heel?
I LOVE Ariat boots, but it seems that they are slowly limiting the offerings of wide sizes. Due to the limited offerings, I'm not able to purchase as many styles as I would like.

Great pair of boots. My wife really likes them. Her only very small complaint, is the elastic part at the top of the boot shaft rubs on her skin. She has to wear socks that come over that part.

I rarely write reviews but do find them helpful when deciding to purchase something. The reviews for this boot sold it. Thank you to all who left reviews! I Love these boots!! I bought them for a trip to Scotland. They were comfortable out of the box! The waterproofing worked well. It rains a lot in Scotland and the ground can get soggy. My socks never got wet. I wore these boots every day on my trip, 2 1/2 weeks, even on travel days. These boots are one of my best purchases ever!!
