I'm 5' 11", ~160lbs, have no rear but a lil' paunch. I've been wearing Gap & Banana Republic for decades. In those brands, I'm a 10 or 12, depending on the pant. I went with a 12 for this Aisha jean. They are a little loose, even after drying them in the drier. It's been a few months (so multiple rounds in the drier), and they have not shrunk, although Ariat says they may by a half inch. I layed the pants on the floor (not wearing them) and measured from the seam (where the two legs come together), to the top of the waist: the rise is 10 inches on my pair. They sit stop my iliac crest and just below the navel (since the front part of the pants slopes down).
