I read the manual

I have no major problems with this invertor, first I read the manual. On page 5 of the paper manual, page 7 on the pdf manual, it shows how to hook up the a/c to the inverter. Note: THE INPUT IS WIRED DIFFERENT THAN THE OUTPUT. I think that is what is causing most of the bad reviews and the unit not working with ground fault. I am hooked up to a ground fault power box and the green light on the ground fault is on and I am having no ground fault problems. Since it is only 2000 watts it will not run my A/C unit nor my convection microwave. But it runs everything else like, TV, toaster, fan, and the a/c side of my refrigerator. The transfer switch can only handle 25 amps which means that I cannot run the A/C and the microwave at the same time on shore power, it pops the 15 amp breaker. Which I haven't contacted Aims to find out why it only has a 15 amp breaker on the 25 amp transfer switch. Other than that, this unit works great. I must warn you, the invertor need at least 200 usable amps to work for any usable period of time, which means you need 400 amps of lead acid or deep cycle batteries. I have 370 amps of LiFeP04 batteries which works great, they last for about 24 hours without solar power (cloudy or rainy days) if the batteries need charged, I simply fire up my generator to charge the batteries back up. It is perfect for boondocking and at night you do not have to run the generator to watch TV etc. I wish that aims would make a 3500 watts unit with a 30 amp transfer switch that would be perfect for my 22' 5th wheel.

Not with gfci

Works great as an inverter not as a transfer switch. Shore power at my dock had gfci protection as does my boat. Once wired up plugging into the shore power tripped both the gfci breakers even with the inverter off.

No, I do not recommend this product.
