The Absorbine Hooflex Therapeutic Horse Conditioner Ointment is a unique formula that helps maintain the pliability of the entire hoof by providing conditioners necessary for long-lasting moisture balance. It comes in a 25 oz. jar. Use this ointment on horses of all life stages. You can also apply this horse conditioner ointment onto donkeys, mules and ponies for convenience.

Q: Do you paint the conditioner on the underside and frog of the hoof as well, or just the hoof wall area?

- A: Yes great question. The underside/sole of the hoof and the frog/sulci and heels area of the hoof is where this product does some of its best work. Apply all over the sole and soft frog, getting it into all of the cracks. Then on the back of the hoof just up to the hard "heels" area, but stop where the pastern skin starts. Do not apply to the horse's skin. We recommend starting the application on the underside areas described above first, then finishing by applying it to the outside hoof wall last to avoid mess on your hands. Also make sure to apply it to the coronary band or "coronet" to keep that soft which improves hoof growth. Here again, avoid getting too much on the horse's skin above the coronary band.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this like the original Hooflex, brown that used to be in a paint like can?

- A: Yes! It is the same product that used to be in the metal tin. Since the metal tin, we have increased the antibacterial and antifungal properties to be even more effective against hoof infections like thrush and white line disease, but otherwise the formula is unchanged. -Team Absorbine5 years agoHelpful?

Great product. I used it on my husband's toenails with great success. Cleared the bacteria/fungus away faster and better than the medication from the doctors. Works great on rashes as well.

Only product my farrier recommends!

This is the only hoof dressing my farrier recommends and I use it daily on my horse with really bad hoofs and it has improved the quality of his hoofs. I use it weekly on my other horses just to keep their hoofs healthy.
