The Greenies Story  

Greenies was born from a simple idea: caring for your pet’s health should be easy, effective and enjoyable. That idea started with an adorable pup named Ivan. With teeth covered with plaque and tartar, Ivan suffered from poor gum health, causing unpleasant breath. Working with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and other experts, Ivan’s owners (Joe and Judy Roetheli) developed the first toothbrush-shaped Greenies Canine Dental Chews, which launched the brand in 1996.  

Today, Greenies is still on a mission to clean every mouth with tail-wagging flavor. Since gaining national distribution in 1999, the company has continued to evolve and grow in popularity, expanding its offerings. Even with its success, Greenies has always remained rooted in its original commitment to pet wellness.
