The triple-action protection works against ticks, fleas and worms, including roundworms (immature adult and adult Toxocara canis and adult Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (L4, immature adult and adult Ancylostoma caninum). Simparica Trio is also used to treat Uncinaria stenocephala infections and to prevent tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum) infections.

Studies supporting FDA approval showed that a single dose of Simparica Trio provided 100% protection against heartworm disease. It combines sarolaner (for ticks and fleas), moxidectin (for heartworm) and pyrantel (for hookworms/roundworms). Simparica Trio is safe for adult canines and puppies as young as 8 weeks old, weighing at least 2.8 lb., and works for 30 days. Speak to your veterinarian to confirm it is safe based on your dog's weight, age and health needs. 

Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures. Simparica Trio contains sarolaner, a member of the isoxazoline class, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia and seizures in dogs with or without a history of neurologic disorders.
