    Taco Dip

Submitted by Irene Engle, of Vernon, NJ

Irene likes the convenience and ease of this recipe. "It's great for a fast dinner or company," she writes. She opts for the lower-fat ground turkey, but beef is just as tasty.

    • 1 lb. ground turkey (or beef, if you prefer)
    • 1 packet of taco seasoning
    • 1 jar of salsa to taste
    • 8 oz. cream cheese
    • Sliced black olives to taste
    • Shredded cheddar cheese to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown meat. Add taco seasoning; follow directions on package. Layer half of the meat mix in dish. Spread salsa on top, then cream cheese. Layer sliced black olives, then shredded cheddar. Add the rest of the meat, then more shredded cheddar. Bake until everything is melted, about 20 minutes or so.
