Ultra1Plus™ SAE 90 Conventional Gear Oil, API GL-5 is formulated with paraffinic base oil and specialty performance additives. API Category GL-5 designates the types of service characteristic of gears, particularly hypo-ids in automotive axles under high-speed and/or low-speed, high-torque conditions. Specialty anti-scuffing additives and friction modifiers provide advanced protection and lubricity in extreme pressure conditions. Additionally SAE 90 API GL-5 Gear Oils is highly shear stable while also resisting rust, oxidation, foaming, and varnish.

    Very oily

    If you rub it between your fingers, it's very slick. If you spill some and walk on it, pretend you're walking on ice. Does not come with caution stickers "warning of slick surfaces", very dangerous. Other than that, the tractor front axle says it tastes good and is easy to digest in the lines.

    Great SAE 90 - Read the labels of your gear oil!

    Seems to be working perfectly in my tractor! Pay attention to your machine if it calls for SAE 90 EP - it's different than 80W-90. The EP in the SAE 90 stands for Extreme Pressure which is needed for some gearboxes. Don't cheap out on getting 80W-90 as it won't act the same as this. I put this SAE 90 in my machine, and everything feels so much smoother.
