Engineered defect: captive barrel nut failure

The captive nut that holds the armrest to the seat is inserted into very soft wood and almost immediately pulls loose or spins when attempting to tighten the bolt. I have seen other reviews with the same problem.

Very disappointed. Would have returned it if I was physically able to. I had the rocker delivered. That part went great. The first time I sat in the chair and rocked back, I noticed the arm was detached from the strut it was supposed to be bolted to. Upon closer inspection, at all of the major connection points the wood was split. I reinforced all the cracked areas with carpenter's glue. 3 days and several wood clamps later the rocker seems structurally sound and safe. This was not a Tractor Supply issue but a manufacturing issue. That being said, I hope Tractor Supply will inspect the products they are delivering before they go out.
