New Version Detrimental to our Cat's Health

Beware that this product can detrimentally affect cat health as well as the distaste others have reported. Over the past couple months or so I found that our cats were not eating as much Hydra Care and, after a few weeks, were not eating much food in general and seemed to have minor but concerning digestion distress. Through trial and error I found that the original version I’ve used for years with excellent results was discontinued and replaced with a newer version that happens to not be compatible with our cats. I am disappointed that the discontinuance and substitution this formula change was not mentioned by my retailer. Since we use repeat deliveries, I’m now stuck with a couple boxes that I cannot use.

Please bring back the old formula!

We’ve been using Hydra Care every day for two years, and my cat loved it, but after the recent formula change, he developed diarrhea right away. Nothing else in his diet or routine has changed, so it’s clear this new version doesn’t agree with him. Please consider reviewing the recent changes — consistency is really important especially in pet food/ supplements. I really hope Purina can address this issue.

Our 18-year-old, 5 1/2 pound Balinese Toffee is being treated for high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, excess sinus mucous, and stage 2 kidney disease. He absolutely has his issues, so anything we can get him to eat or drink is crucial to his well-being. He LOVES Hydra Care, and he will choose that over treats. I give him half a pouch, which he will finish within 20 minutes. I give him the rest about an hour later, and he will finish that within the next hour.

Yes, I recommend this product.
