This is the 5th smoker I bought and it breaks within 3 months

Well, it is large!! But temps are 100 degrees off!! Using my Thermoworks Smoke---to get 250 degrees, I had to crank the dial on the PitBoss to 350...so, effectively I have an easy bake oven. not a smoker!!!! Will be contacting PitBoss Customer Service in the morning. Hopefully, they are as good as they were 5 years ago.

I’ve been smoking meat for many years and have had 3 different smokers and brands. This Series 7 smoker has fantastic features—the ease of use, the Wi-Fi/App interface, and the temperature probes are all excellent. When it works, it’s a great model with user-friendly options. Unfortunately, reliability has been a major issue. In the 18 months I’ve owned it: - The screen stopped working and had to be replaced. - A fire damaged the newly replaced screen, front door, temperature sensor, and water pan. - Now the auger has stopped working, likely related to the previous fire. While all parts were covered under warranty (which I appreciate), I’ve spent countless hours filing claims, waiting for parts, and doing repairs myself. For a premium smoker, I expected durability—not a constant project and ruined meals when something fails. I truly wish this wasn’t the case because I love how it performs when operational. I guess I just got a lemon, and that’s disappointing. Other family members and friends own the same model without these issues, so maybe I was unlucky—but for the price, reliability should never be a gamble.

I got this smoker because I wanted something I could could a bunch all at the same time. And it is good for that balut has some major design flaws. The first being the control panel being centered at the bottom of the smoker. It is almost illegible now after a year of use. The other is the device not being weather resistant at all. I the device is left out and any moisture gets on It the entire hopper will need dumped and cleaned out due to the pellets getting water logged.
