Works great for our feral cat and her kittens. I built a racoon proof box for it and fastened it to the patio wall. Will add drawings for the racoon proof drawing to youtube and post the web address in the near future. The feeder box is made of 1/2" plywood (1/2 sheet more than enough), one 1-1/2"x1-1/2"x8 foot (for coners), one 1-1/2" conduit clamp, four PVC 1-1/2" els 45 degrees, PVC pipe 1-1/2", one 3"long, one 2-1/4", one 2"(do not glue PVC instead drill and one screw"on side" per fit so it can be rotated as needed), the funnel is a empty Rain-X jug, the window/feed timer window is a cheap plastic picture holder , top latches are window shash locks, tie downs are 1-1/2x5/8corner brackets. Ply wood cuts are side 11"x36", front 12"x36", the 1-1/2" corner boards Top 4 each 10"(bottom corner boards extended 1/8" beyound feeder'legs'), the feeder shelf is 8"x11-7/8" mounted on the remaining 1-1/2"x1-1/2" board 13-1/2" from top of the box, the plastic for window is 6"x3-1/2" (scribe/scar &break to size) the window opening 5"x3". I drinned a 1" hole in the feeder reservoir with a hole saw(paddle/spade will break the reservoir) drill pilot hole first then reverse the drill to cut the opening(if you do not reverse the drill it will break the reservoir, the reservoir is level sight glass is 3M packing tape 2 passes on both inside and out side, drilled 1" hole in back for power. Note: Put dielectric/silicone grease on the batery contacts(it will keep them from corroding when the batteries leak thus saving your feedervery important). See pics and thats it. Difficult 2 set timer, I followed instructions for settings on timer and food amount. Yes the timer worked, but didn't come at set times for feedings. It comes on at random times not matter what time you input for feeding. Save your money,

Setting it up is super easy too. My cats were a little timid around it at first, but now they know how it works and that it gives them food!
